After being away for over a decade, Joanna is thrilled to return to Intervals Studio—this time training as the Accounts and Office Administrator. She spent the past nine years in the Canadian territories teaching elementary school and supporting students with disabilities, all while starting a family. With her husband and sons, Calvin and Charles, Joanna has returned to Newfoundland, grateful for the chance to raise her family in the place that shaped her own beginnings.

Joanna’s connection to Intervals began years ago when she taught Kindermusik at the studio while completing a Bachelor of Business Administration, but her roots run even deeper. Robyn Pearce was Joanna’s own music teacher growing up, whose mentorship and encouragement inspired her to pursue her musical goals with confidence. 

Music has always been a central part of Joanna’s life, she believes music brings joy, sparks discovery, supports healing, and encourages lifelong learning. In her new role, she is learning the ins and outs of daily operations and scheduling at Intervals.
