Private lessons

One-on-one piano, voice, violin, guitar, and ukulele lessons

Imagine sitting down at your instrument and feeling supported, focused, and encouraged. Whether you’re playing your very first notes or returning to music after time away, private lessons at Intervals are designed to help you feel capable, confident, and genuinely connected to your music.

Students come to us for many reasons. Some are just beginning and curious to see what’s possible. Others are building skills they’ve been developing for years. Some play purely for joy, while others are working toward performances, exams, or advanced study. Wherever you’re starting, lessons are shaped around you — your goals, your pace, and how you learn best.

In each lesson, you’ll experience steady guidance, clear direction, and space to grow without pressure. Challenges are met with patience and care, progress is noticed and celebrated, and learning is paced so it feels encouraging rather than overwhelming. Over time, many students are surprised by how natural playing begins to feel — and how much they look forward to their time with their instrument each week.

Private music lessons at Intervals are about more than technique. They’re about building confidence, focus, and a lasting relationship with music that fits your life now and continues to grow with you.

We offer private piano lessons, voice lessons, violin lessons, guitar lessons, and ukulele lessons for children, teens, and adults.

Not sure what length of lesson you should sign up for?

For beginners or early level students. Also a great option for those who just want to joyfully make music without the pressure of exams.

Combo lesson for piano/voice or piano/guitarWonderful option that acts as a starting place for beginner level students who want to experience two disciplines.  It is recommended to stay in this option for no longer than two years. Students should transition to half hour lessons in each discipline after this time as they grow in their musicianship.

For students who are advancing in their solo instrument and ready to step up their game. With the increase in lesson time comes an increase in the level of practice commitment at home.   Students  pursuing conservatory exams must have at least a 45 minute lesson.

Typically for the more advanced student who is playing at a higher level of musicianship or for those who need more time preparing for conservatory exams, competition,  or for music school auditions. **Note: To help our team with scheduling, students learning two instruments  who are not playing or singing at an advanced level should register for two 30 minute lesson slots in their respective disciplines rather than a singular 60 minute slot.

Note: All lesson slots are scheduled through our office AFTER you have registered. We also love to make life easier for busy parents! Talk to us about scheduling your sibling lessons back to back or close together.  While we can't guarantee it, if we can make it happen, we will!
