This Kindermusik curriculum focuses on your child’s beginning movement, helping to build the muscles your young toddler needs to walk, run, and climb. There’s also an emphasis on vocal development, which helps nurture your child’s speaking and singing voice. With a mix of both parent-child joint activities and child-focused activities, you’ll be able to join right in on all the singing and dancing while getting the chance to observe how your young toddler learns on his or her own. This music-filled class celebrates the unique joys of your growing child. Your child will love singing, dancing, and playing instruments with you and her new friends, and you’ll love helping her practice a wide variety of abilities such as gross and fine motor skills, turn-taking, social skills and active listening. In class, we’ll also share tips and ideas for using music throughout the week. Each week, we combine your preschooler’s natural love of music, storytelling, and imaginative play with age-appropriate activities that introduce early music concepts and foster independence, social and emotional skills, language growth and self control. We also connect you with other parents who share in the wonder of parenting a preschooler. Parents join class for the final activities. Additionally, the Kindermusik@Home digital home materials bring the music, activities and each month’s story everywhere you go. Repetition enhances the learning and the fun!

AGES 5 TO 7

Our most advanced classes offer children the opportunity to use music notation to play a variety of instruments. As children grow musically throughout Level 5, they develop strong social-emotional, problem-solving, and pre-literacy skills that help boost school readiness and encourage a natural love of learning.

ACTIVITIES

• Learning how to understand simple music notation and play the glockenspiel, dulcimer, and the recorder
• Experiencing steady beat, meter, and rhythm through listening to music, moving, singing, playing instruments, and reading and writing music notation
• Learning new music concepts through listening, moving, singing, game-playing, visuals, and imaginative play
• Listening to music and sound with an analytical ear and paying close attention to pitch variation and timbre between specific instruments
• Developing their speaking and singing voices through listening, imitating, and exploring

Wonderful option that acts as a starting place for beginner level students who want to experience two disciplines.  It is recommended to stay in this option for no longer than two years. Students should transition to half hour lessons in each discipline after this time as they grow in their musicianship.

For students who are advancing in their solo instrument and ready to step up their game. Whether your aspiring performer is a beginner in our tinies class or a little further along in their journey, we delight in meeting them right where they are and in helping them shape their potential. Triple Threat “Troopers” are excited each week to experience the magic of theatre through our hands-on approach to learning. Singing, choreography, and acting take centre stage under the guidance of an enthusiastic and caring team of educators who are invested in your child. 

T3’s (as we affectionately call it) smaller group experience ensures that EVERY student gets special attention and finds a welcome place at Intervals. While fostering individual talent is a critical part of our program, we also value the far-reaching effects of cultivating self-confidence, empathy and team building skills.  Each term, students will work together and grow as a cast to produce a high-energy performance while confidence soars and lasting friendships are made. 

Triple Threat Troop truly is more than a season or a show.  It’s a place to belong. 

Triple Threat Tinies 

• Ages 5-7 
• Two separate terms: Fall (Sept to Dec) and Winter/Spring (January-June) 
• Saturdays 3:30-4:15 
• 45 minute class designed to introduced the youngest performers to the world of musical theatre through singing, acting, and dance.
• Includes performance in our Musical Theatre Showcase (fall session enrolment) and performance in our spring musical pre-show (winter/spring session enrolment).

Triple Threat Troop

• Ages 7-12
• Two separate terms: Fall (Sept to Dec) and Winter/Spring (January-June) 
• Two days to choose from: Tuesdays 6:30-8:00 or Saturdays 4:30-6:00
• *One 90-minute class each week with rotations in singing, acting, and choreography.  
• ALL enrolled students are part of our Musical Theatre Showcase (fall session enrolment) and our spring musical (winter/spring enrolment). Additionally, there will be exciting opportunities for students to audition for special roles if they wish to! 

Triple Threat Teens

• Ages 12-15
• Two separate terms: Fall (Sept to Dec) and Winter/Spring (January-June) 
• Offered Tuesdays 5:15-6:15
• One 60-minute class each week with rotations in singing, acting, and choreography.  
• All T3 teens perform in our Musical Theatre Showcase (fall session enrolment) and in our spring musical pre-show (winter/spring session enrolment).

*Note: There will be additional rehearsals leading up to a show that may require a greater time commitment and that may require classes to meet on a different day of the week. During studio GMC weeks, T3 classes generally rehearse together at a location outside of our studio.

Whether your aspiring performer is a beginner in our tinies class or a little further along in their journey, we delight in meeting them right where they are and in helping them shape their potential. Triple Threat “Troopers” are excited each week to experience the magic of theatre through our hands-on approach to learning. Singing, choreography, and acting take centre stage under the guidance of an enthusiastic and caring team of educators who are invested in your child. 

T3’s (as we affectionately call it) smaller group experience ensures that EVERY student gets special attention and finds a welcome place at Intervals. While fostering individual talent is a critical part of our program, we also value the far-reaching effects of cultivating self-confidence, empathy and team building skills.  Each term, students will work together and grow as a cast to produce a high-energy performance while confidence soars and lasting friendships are made. 

Triple Threat Troop truly is more than a season or a show.  It’s a place to belong. 

Triple Threat Tinies 

• Ages 5-7 
• Two separate terms: Fall (Sept to Dec) and Winter/Spring (January-June) 
• Saturdays 3:30-4:15 
• 45 minute class designed to introduced the youngest performers to the world of musical theatre through singing, acting, and dance.
• Includes performance in our Musical Theatre Showcase (fall session enrolment) and performance in our spring musical pre-show (winter/spring session enrolment).

Triple Threat Troop

• Ages 7-12
• Two separate terms: Fall (Sept to Dec) and Winter/Spring (January-June) 
• Two days to choose from: Tuesdays 6:30-8:00 or Saturdays 4:30-6:00
• *One 90-minute class each week with rotations in singing, acting, and choreography.  
• ALL enrolled students are part of our Musical Theatre Showcase (fall session enrolment) and our spring musical (winter/spring enrolment). Additionally, there will be exciting opportunities for students to audition for special roles if they wish to! 

Triple Threat Teens

• Ages 12-15
• Two separate terms: Fall (Sept to Dec) and Winter/Spring (January-June) 
• Offered Tuesdays 5:15-6:15
• One 60-minute class each week with rotations in singing, acting, and choreography.  
• All T3 teens perform in our Musical Theatre Showcase (fall session enrolment) and in our spring musical pre-show (winter/spring session enrolment).

*Note: There will be additional rehearsals leading up to a show that may require a greater time commitment and that may require classes to meet on a different day of the week. During studio GMC weeks, T3 classes generally rehearse together at a location outside of our studio. For mommies and babies under 1 year

Motherhood is kind of a big deal right? In those early days, overwhelm is real. You’re caring for a new life and trying to do all the “right” things. There’s so much information coming your way and it can be tough to know where to turn first. We think a great first step starts with COMMUNITY and CONNECTION–a feeling that you aren’t alone.

Intervals has crafted a safe and clean space for mommies of little ones under a year who are looking for connection and support from other moms. We have listened to the types of services that moms are curious about or need, and we’ve enlisted the help of some special guests. Each Momma Nest session highlights a new local specialist each week and is designed to provide a caring community in which you can ask questions as you learn and experience what our city has to offer new parents.

Of course we know that socialization is also critical for not only mom, but baby as well. We’ve purposefully carved out a little extra time at the end of class each week so that moms and littles can just “be” and can get to know one another.

Whether you are a first time mom, or a mom who has been down the newborn road before, we know you’ll thrive in our warm and supportive network at Momma Nest.
